Ipe

Ipe Decking is olive brown to black often with variegated striping. Ipe Texture is fine to medium, grain straight to irregular. Ipe is one of the hardest woods on the planet and an extremely popular choice for decking in Europe, Asia, and the United States. Ipe Decking is perfect for exterior residential and commercial applications such as boat-docks, decking, boardwalks, pool decking, foot bridges, and so forth. Ipe can be sealed to maintain its natural color and beauty, or allowed to weather to a beautiful silver gray color. Ipe is an exotic hardwood that is naturally resistant to rot, decay and insect attack. Ipe Decking offers a 100+ year lifespan without preservatives! Ipe Decking is extremely hard almost 3x harder than Oak. It has a fire rating of A1 (the highest possible, the same as concrete), and is denser than water (it sinks). It is increasingly popular as a decking material due to its insect resistance and durability. Ipe wood products contains no added harmful chemicals so it can be used near water without potential contamination.

Cumaru

Cumaru is an exotic hardwood you can count on because it naturally resists rot, decay and insect attack. Cumaru decking is the second hardest decking we sell. In Brazil, Cumaru is used in mansions, five-star hotels and major commercial projects. It has 50+ year lifespan without preservatives!

Tigerwood

Tigerwood Decking (Muiracatiara) is bronze-colored, yellow-brown with irregular dark lines which is how the name Tigerwood was derived. Tigerwood decking is extremely hard, heavy, close-grained, and resists water well, making it a valuable hardwood. Increasing that value is the fact that it can come in large sizes. Tigerwood lumber has an attractive appearance and easy to shape with tools.
